Busy Monday

Yes I know it's Tuesday, but I didn't have time to post yesterday. Yesterday I went and ran/walked for the first time in ages.

We also had our scout Pack Meeting. My hubby who is an Eagle Scout presented the boys with some awards. And Landon helped post the colors (raise the flag). It was a busy but productive Monday.

Weekend Wrapup

It's been another busy weekend, but I'm hoping for things to slow down a little next week. (Haha! Anyone with kids knows that is a joke.)

I worked Friday night and Saturday we had a basketball game. The boys did very good and I was so proud of them! I haven't posted any pictures because as Coach Thompson I don't have time to mess with my camera. ;)

Then I was lucky enough to have a friend of mine give me a manicure. I chose red to go along with my basketball boys, the Strikers.

Then last night we had some friends over. They brought steaks and we brought side dishes and enjoyed some great food and good times. They had their little girl Braelee who gave me my baby fix for a little while. She was talking to the ceiling fan in this picture.

We had basketball practice today which was another dad and I playing against 5 little boys. I'm worn out!! I also need a air horn to get their attention, or a louder voice. It's been a fun weekend, and I praying for a blessed week.

Fifth Birthday Party

This weekend was a crazy busy weekend! We had a benefit for a fellow scout who contracted E. coli over the Christmas break and wound up in the hospital, we baked goodies for that, helped man games at the benefit, and also had a 30th birthday party to go to for a friend of ours. Then yesterday we had about a dozen little girls over for Emma's fifth birthday party. We had a blast and she was surrounded by her friends.

Date Night

Last night Damon & I went out to eat and enjoy a concert by Texas artist, Radney Foster. We had a blast. The food at dinner was awesome, and the concert was great! It was just an artist & his guitar.

As I've posted a few times ago, my theme for this year is Love. Loving my crazy life this year.

Right now I'm loving Terri Savelle Foy.  Terri is the daughter of Jerry Savelle of Jerry Savelle Ministries. I stumbled upon her ministry about six months ago and I'm so glad I did. This woman that sounds like Minnie Mouse has an anointing on her. I love her podcasts and look forward to them whenever she puts them out which is usually weekly or ever other week. She has encouraged me to dream big and to put my goals in front of me. I have downloaded several of her mp3 messages and listen to them often when I am getting ready in the morning. Her encouragement helps to put things into perspective and have hope for my dreams.

Some of my dreams this year is to have more money in savings, get to a healthy weight and maintain that weight, take a trip for our 10 year anniversary here this summer, spend more time doing things I enjoy, and another goal is to not worry so much and let God lead me where I need to go.

Goodbye 2012..Hello 2013

So far 2013 has been good. We have been busy getting ready for school to start back, which it started today. That was pretty rough. My poor babies and I are so tired since we've been lazing around the house for two weeks and had to get up with an early alarm this morning.

We are only 7 days into 2013 but I hope and pray it is a great year full of love, hope, blessings and health.

New Year's Day

We spent New Year's Day celebrating with my family for Christmas. My Dad had six brothers/sisters so as you can imagine, it's gotten pretty big with kids/grandkids/great-grandkids. We had fun hanging out, and relaxing.
