Blessings

Lord,
During this time of uncertainty in our world and in our community, I ask for your blessings. I ask for your blessings on our community at our school, families who have lost homes to fires, and families that have lost loved ones. Please Lord wrap your arms around those that are lost today and guide them in Your ways.

Lord you know who needs you most and who thinks they need you the least. Lord you know what each of us need and I ask for your guidance during these times.

"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him  who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:2-3

Tuesday Time

Nothing really exciting has happened round our household here lately.

So I'll just say that the time change has kicked all of our booties here lately. During spring break we didn't go to bed on time and slept late. Now that we are trying to get back in the swing of things with work, school, housework, dinner, homework, and now we are throwing t-ball into the mix, I need another break.

I'm sure t-ball pics will follow, but for right now I'm going to type up some notes for my quiz tomorrow, before I fall asleep with my laptop in my lap....ssssnooorrrreee

Spring Break Vacation

I haven't been online because we went camping over Spring Break. We took our nephew and the kids to the coast to visit some friends of ours and the boys went fishing in the ocean.

After going to the coast we went to one of the state parks and spent a few days in the camper. Fishing in the lake, hiking, and making s'mores. :)

This is what happens when it rains the first morning we are there. Everyone piled in the bed playing on their handhelds, and Daddy napping.

Me and Miss thing posing for the camera. We went to see the horses but the stables were closed, so she played on a wooden horse they had out front.

Miss Thing got ahold of my camera.

This is what happens when you give my kid a s'more and she just eats the chocolate.

Almost Wordless Wednesday

This is an almost Wordless Wednesday. This is my beautiful cousin and her darling baby boy Austin Cade, whom they decided to call Cade. He's still  in  NICU and getting bigger but he's had a few setbacks. Please say a prayer for this little boy and his family. I can't wait till he's bigger where I can hold him and welcome him into our crazy family.

Top Tuesday

As a little something different I'm going to do some of my top scripture verses that I go to when I need a little help. I actually have more..but the post would be way to long!

5. "I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you." Isaiah 46:4

4. "Everything is permissible- but not everything is beneficial." 1 Corinthians 10:23 (Learned this one from Lysa Terkeurst & her book Made to Crave, excellent book by the way!)

3. "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." Colossions 3:7

2. Pretty much all of Proverbs 31 - however the one that I strive for is "She is clothed with strength & dignity, she can laugh at the days to com. She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue." Proverbs 31:25-26

1. "I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to God. May will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord." Psalm 40:1-5

So there are a few to get you going on this Tuesday morning. Have a wonderful day!

Weekend Wrap-up

This has been a quick - but great weekend.

Friday night we went to a meeting for some good food. Mr. L got invited to a sleep over and had a blast when I picked him up the next morning. The kids went to a birthday party. I spent the weekend typing notes and working on homework. Today we went a church to hear a friend of our's speak about mission work. It was a totally different format than our regular church. Our home church is more traditional, and although I do love our church and the people at our church. However, the more contemporary worship service breathes life into me like nothing else. Our friend's message was absolutely great. We also went out to eat afterwards with my spiritual mom, Elizabeth, and her family, our friends and kids. I enjoyed the fellowship as much as the food.

Well back to homework & housework before bed...

Fabulous Friday

Well my Friday was a good day.

Mr L got invited to a sleepover - so he was so excited. It was a spur of the moment thing, and I think the other little boy was even more excited than Mr. L.

We were invited to go to a meeting that was held by our insurance company. A kind of thank -you to its customers within this area. It was good food, but they drew for door prizes. I won $20 as a door prize. Praise God! Free money is always a good thing.

We have a busy weekend ahead with the hubby taking his nephew and Mr L fishing tomorrow, homework, and we are going to another church to listen to a friend of ours speak about their mission work. I can't wait! The format of the worship service is more contemporary than our usual church, and I always enjoy the music at more contemporary services.

But today has been a fabulous Friday!!

Thankful Thursday

Just a few things to be Thankful for on this Thursday

5. Small "circus's" that come to our town. Yes there were all of 5 people in the circus, and it was clowns, acrobats, and a magician. It wasn't just the best show, but the kids absolutely loved it. Watching it through their eyes helped me enjoy it a lot more.

4. Mr. L has decided he wants to spike his hair in the mornings. Now, his hair is like his father's, course and curly, so it's quite entertaining fixing his hair in the morning. It's rather fun watching my little boy get to be so big.

3. Potty training successes!! My youngest is "thisclose" to being potty trained. She is fine during the day but still wears a pull-up at night. Any mom knows this is a major time of celebration!!

2. Days are getting longer and the weather is so pretty. When we get home the kids can go outside and play in the backyard. I open the windows so I can hear them while I run in and out to cook dinner.

1. One more week till spring break! Can't wait to spend some time with my family.
