Everything I Need to Know...

I know like  some people that will read this, I used to LOVE Little Golden Books. Even now if I see a Little Golden book, it makes me smile. So imagine my joy at seeing this at the Books Are Fun dealer that comes to our school monthly.

I bought one immediately and one for my momma who shares my love for Little Golden Books. Some of the sweet nuggets in the book include..

1) Get dressed first thing (sweatpants are bad for moral)
2) Get exercise daily
3) Daydream
4) Stroll
5) Treat Yourself
6) Turn off the TV...and crack open a book
7) Use your imagination
8) Be unique
9) Keep in touch
10) Go ahead and make a big deal over your birthday

And many..many more!!!

If you ever see this book, grab it!! It's a  great book to lift you up and remind you about the little things.

Hurting Hearts...

Lord sometimes I don't know what to think about our fallen world.  My prayers go out to those who are hurting right now.

Today a family lost their son from a car wreck on Saturday. I can't fathom losing my child whatever their age. My heart hurts for this family.

A few months ago we went to a funeral for a family we knew who lost their 6 month old son to a heart condition. As hard as it was for me to be there at that funeral, I can't imagine what they are going through.

Then my family has known this loss. My aunt and uncle lost their daughter Niki to an accident. Niki was full of life and love and I know that she is missed dearly.

Losing a loved one is never easy, but losing a child is a pain that no one can understand unless you have been there yourself. No one can really fully know the pain, loss, & grief unless they too have gone through it.  I ask that you kiss your kids and give them a hug before they go to bed tonight. If they are older, call or text saying you love them, and kids, text or call your parents and say that you love them too.

I know I'll be hugging  on my kiddos a little more before bed.

Spring Break!!

So far I am loving Spring Break! We have done pretty much not a thing except relax, play games, laundry and clean house.

Right now I'm laughing at my kiddo. He's  Skyping with a friend in China.

They are talking about video games, and making strange noises. It's amazing that technology can take us anywhere, even a 13 hour time difference and across countries.

We also went and saw the Lego movie, very cute movie! And had a blast. It was a fun family day.

Blessings!
